Last fall we had our friends from Stinner Frameworks to the DA taproom. After a few beers one thing led to another (as beer conversation usually does) and we got excited about the idea to collaborate on a summer beer. We wanted just the right post-cycling beer so when we finished a fabulous ride on a sunny day it would end with a delicious, crisp, cold beer awaiting at the end – we called our first collaborative beer ‘Perseverance Light Lager’.

As makers, we collaborated on the process of making Perseverance. The Stinner and Draughtsmen teams got together to brainstorm the type of beer we would make together and then both teams came to the brewery and got hands-on experience in brewing the beer together. The collaboration didn’t end with just the brewing. We created a beer can label, beer launch merchandise and a launch party to celebrate!

We are officially releasing this limited beer "Perseverance Light Lager" on Saturday, April 28th at 4pm with an official launch party at the Draughtsmen taproom. We wanted a day focused on two of our passions - beer and cycling. We will have food from Nimita’s Indian Cuisine, music by Last Resort Forever (killer DJ) and galaxy sprints to raise money for Galaxy Cycling, a Santa Barbara based coaching program for entry level cyclists to elite level athletes starting with junior women and men ages 13-18. Galaxy Cycling supports cycling with a comprehensive approach to racing, competing, and training in order to provide young athletes of all levels support to achieve their best.

Stinner Frameworks and Draughtsmen are two small makers in Goleta, CA who are passionate about what we make. We're looking forward to a fun event and seeing a great crowd that supports two local companies coming together who have an overlapping passion for beer and biking. We know that between ideas and accomplishments lies perseverance.
