We've teamed up with our partners at Mosaic Locale to help put food on our neighbors' tables. The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County has 88,000 pounds of food leaving their warehouses daily. Demand for food assistance has more than doubled since March and 3 million pounds of food was distributed in the first 10 weeks of response. Today, about 85,000 Santa Barbara county residents are being served during this crisis and that number is growing.
The volunteers behind the Foodbank have devoted so much to make sure our neighbors have what they need in this unprecedented time. Demand is increasing weekly as more people get laid off and struggle to make ends meet. We are coming together to aid the Foodbank in providing support to Santa Barbarians who need it most.
